Urbana’s 9 Days of Prayer

Prayer is a powerful avenue to join God’s global mission and can be done anywhere, anytime. Join us in lifting up Urbana 18 for the glory of the King of kings!

Please pray for . . .

December 25

  • A safe and pleasant trip for most of Urbana’s core team members traveling to St. Louis.
  • Participants to have a rich, refreshing time with family and friends that will prepare them for Urbana.
  • Speakers as they take care of last-minute details and begin to travel.

December 26

  • Safe travel for our 1,700-plus staff and volunteers.
  • Preparations in America’s Center and The Dome, including setting up booths and offices, hanging banners, and preparing to check in over 10,000 people.
  • Participants in their last-minute packing for St. Louis and as God readies their hearts and minds.

December 27

  • The thousands of participants traveling across the country and especially our Canadian participants to have a good border-crossing experience.
  • All technology, including online streaming, audio and video equipment, computers, etc., to work well.
  • A blessed opening session, speakers Ruth Hubbard and René Breuel to be anointed by the Holy Spirit, and students to be ready to receive Christ’s message from the book of Revelation.

December 28

  • A spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving for safe travels.
  • Students’ openness and teachability as they begin their inductive Bible study journey and for the teachers who’ve been preparing to guide them for a year.
  • Urbana’s first full day to go well and that the Worship Team, speakers, and all staff would be energized.
  • Jesus to speak through speakers René Breuel and Danielle Strickland, as well as our 187 seminar speakers.

December 29

  • Meaningful interactions and deep conversations in the exhibit hall and that exhibitors will prayerfully recognize where students are at in their discernment journey and what they need to hear.
  • Participants and staff to stay healthy.
  • A strong sense of community among everyone gathered for Urbana.
  • God to use the messages of speakers Beth Paz, John Inazu, and Dominique DuBois Gilliard to convict and inspire today’s students.

December 30

  • Students not to feel overwhelmed and to be sustained throughout their Urbana experience.
  • Hearts to be readied to say yes to God’s calling.
  • Participants to give sacrificially for the Urbana offering and make an immediate, tangible impact.
  • Speakers Scott Bessenecker and René Breuel to powerfully share Revelation’s call to live as faithful witnesses.

December 31

  • Barriers to saying yes to Jesus to be removed.
  • Many to make meaningful life-changing, God-honoring commitments.
  • Christ to be glorified through the messages of René Breuel, Sarah Breuel, and Anne Zaki.
