Faith at Work: Oxymoron, Obligation, or Opportunity? A Panel Discussion

We work. We sleep. We do a few other things too, but if we are to grow into faithful Christ-followers who joyfully engage in our role in God’s world, we’d better get this faith-work integration thing right! Is such an integration even possible in our fast-paced world?

Speakers

An entrepreneur, Gary has been involved in starting, growing, selling, or closing over 25 businesses in the past 40 years, most of which have been in under-resourced cities in the U.S. and around the world.

Toukam is from Cameroon. He graduated from Columbia University and UPenn. He lives in Manhattan and works for MasterCard. He is also a Director at Mustard Seed International, an education non-profit. His favorite book is We Signed Away Our Lives by Peter Torjesen.

Lisa is the Brand Strategist at Google. She is from Malibu, CA, attended Stanford University, and now lives in New York, NY. She loves science fiction movies that explore what it means to be human. 

Ryan is from Arvada, Colorado and University of San Diego graduate. He has been to many short-term mission services in various countries and lived in South Africa for 3 years where he started a microfinance organization. He currently lives in Denver, Colorado. 

Christy calls Vietnam home and works there with a start-up. She is a graduate of the University of Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She loves stories of believers integrating faith and work.
