Engaging North Korea through Humanitarian Service & Business

Christians from various countries are actively, positively engaging with the people of North Korea. Come hear tangible examples and personal stories of Christians serving this nation. We will focus on humanitarian work and business opportunities in particular.

Speakers

Having grown up in South Korea, Stephen and Joy Yoon have been residents and Christian cross-cultural workers in North Korea for over 10 years. Dr. Stephen leads a team of local physicians while treating pediatric patients in developmental disabilities at the Pyongyang Medical School Hospital. Joy provides Special Education and Educational Therapy to these children receiving treatment. Through their joint efforts, they have shown the North Korean government that children with disabilities have valuable roles in society.
