Devorah Chung was born and raised in Hong Kong, and God called her to minister to Jewish People in New York City with Chosen People Ministries in 2012. Before then, she had worked in the business world and interacted with the Jewish community in Hong Kong. After sensing God's call to leave the business world, she attended Talbot School of Theology’s Charles L. Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies where she received her MDiv in 2016. As a woman of Chinese descent, she has a unique opportunity for connection with Jewish people through history, culture, and food.
