Boldly engage our beautiful and broken world while earning college credit. Learn ways that InterVarsity/USA Study Abroad can equip you for mission and connect you with local community in your country —or consider a semester abroad unlike any other: engage racial reconciliation in Rwanda or human trafficking in Thailand.
How can we learn to follow Jesus into mission? And how does the incarnation of God, in Jesus, inform how we go about our lives and our connections with people? Come and learn six missional practices that, if followed, will alter the way the gospel is understood and received in our neighborhoods.
God made us in his image to work in his kingdom—it was meant to be fun, meaningful, and fruitful. But we all know how broken it is! Explore the opportunities for mission in any job you do.
We can work toward seeing every tribe and tongue reconciled and celebrating diversity at the “table” of corporate worship. This seminar will equip leaders to lead multiethnic worship by exploring topics like team tension, cultural change, and helpful models.
We are called to witness to the reign of Christ, that our work would be “kingdom work.” This seminar will consider how the prayer “thy kingdom come” can inform and infuse our daily lives with a vision for the kingdom and participation in the kingdom work of God.
Christian women are encouraged to see themselves in God’s bigger design and to use their gifts to further God’s kingdom. This seminar is designed to challenge women around the world to make a difference for Christ and to tell and model the great hope that Christ brings to our lives.
Go to the right school. Become a doctor or lawyer. Marry a nice Asian. These are some of the hopes our Asian parents have for us. Knowing that they’ve sacrificed for us, we want to honor their wishes. But we also want to serve Jesus, and sometimes that can conflict with family expectations. Discovering our Asian identity in the midst of Western culture means learning to bridge these and other conflicting values.
