What exactly is in the Connections Hall?
People from 192 missions organizations, seminaries, and schools. There will be places to hang out, grab food and coffee, and meet new and old friends.
Where do I get started inside the Connections Hall?
The Hub is the perfect place to help you get a better sense of the layout of the Connections Hall. With multiple kiosks for you to browse all our booths and friendly, knowledgeable staff to help, you’ll soon have some great ideas of which exhibitors to check out. You can always just start exploring the space too. Exhibitors have been organized into neighborhoods based on similar goals and purposes.
How do I talk to an exhibiting organization at a booth?
Let’s just say it: Many of us feel weird talking to strangers. Just remember that the people from the organizations inside the Connections Hall know you may be feeling nervous — they may be too! — and they want to help you however they can, whether that’s praying for you as you discern, giving away free merch, or sharing more about their ministry. So take a deep breath, walk up, and say hi!
How do I know if an exhibiting organization is a good fit for me?
Maybe you’re coming into the Connections Hall feeling like you need to have the next 40 years of your life figured out by the time the conference is over. If that’s you, just take a second to pause and pray, asking God to lead you to where he wants you to be and help you surrender any unnecessary pressures to figure out the future. Then just relax and explore. Check out the organizations you’re most interested in — and some that you’re not (you never know what could happen). Gather up useful contact info and voice any concerns or questions. After Urbana, pray and reflect on where you sense God’s leading. Talk to your family, friends, and mentors. Feel free to reach out to any organization you met at Urbana after you get home. They want to hear from you!
