Jean Gill

Church Resource Ministries, Director of Development & Training for International Staff

(as of 2012)

Jean, a native of Urbana, IL, has been serving in cross-cultural ministry in Asia for the past 30 years. She was called into missions at the Urbana ’79 conference, and the following summer served in a small church in rural Japan where she felt God call her into full-time ministry in Asia. Along with her husband, Rob, she spent the next 25 years in Japan where her ministry focused on leadership development among women, multi-cultural ministry, missionary care, and TCK (Third Culture Kid) education.

In 2006 Jean and a colleague were invited to Cambodia to study the issue of attrition among key missionary and NGO leaders in that nation. As a result she founded the Cross-cultural Leaders Network to resource ministry leaders in their on-going spiritual formation and leadership development and to equip them for effective long-term service among the nations.

Jean serves with CRM (Church Resource Ministries) as the Director of Development & Training for international staff. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois and has an M.A. in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. But her greatest joy is being the mom of two adult TCK’s, both born and raised in Japan.
