Akinlana Burrowes

Akinlana Burrowes joined Wycliffe in 2006 and served in Kenya for seven years. While she worked in local communities, addressing trauma as a means of advancing God’s kingdom ushered Akinlana in a new direction of ministry. It culminated in Akinlana becoming a licensed mental health counselor with a specialization in trauma healing and expressive arts therapy. She has served in outpatient community mental health centers, schools, and partialized hospitalization programs. Akinlana’s vision is to see God’s people free from the hindrance of trauma and welcomed into God's healing light where they can live a life full of abundant hope.
