World Orphans is committed to rescuing orphaned and abandoned children, strengthening the local church, and impacting communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through church-based, family-focused programs. We seek to equip, inspire, and mobilize the church to care for orphaned and vulnerable children.
Describe the types of ministry opportunities your agency will offer to Urbana 12 participants:
We offer Journey trips through our Journey 117 program. These are short-term opportunities to learn more about the orphan crisis and have a first-hand experience on the field working with our church partners. Individuals can also engage our ministry by forming an OAT (Orphan Advocacy Team). They will be provided with the resources to disciple a group of individuals in their own sphere of influence and empower and equip them to advocate for the fatherless as a result of their time together. Also, we offer opportunities for churches to form a partnership with us as a church-to-church partner.
