Vision:WEC International aspires to be a passionate, flexible and truly international movement whose devotion to Jesus empowers this generation to impact the least-reached peoples of the earth with the transforming power of the gospel. We are vessels in pioneering areas so the unreached will encounter Jesus and as a result His church be planted as a result. Over 70 percent of our field workers serve in the 10/40 window, and over 600 of our workers serve among Muslims. Aware of the immensity of this task, we work to empower the indigenous church to send out its own in partnership with our workers. We also demonstrate the compassion of Christ in practical ways such as Rainbows of Hope, a ministry to children at risk and in crisis, and Betel, an international ministry to drug addicts and the marginalized.
Describe the types of ministry opportunities your agency will offer to Urbana 12 participants:Come explore varied short-term experiences which range from team trips for about three weeks as well as customized individual trips from two months to a year. Each short-term option is a glimpse at long-term missions through direct contact and support of our long-term teams. We have many openings for career missionaries in over 80 countries where we serve. Our opportunities are rich and varied both in location (we work with almost 100 people groups) and types of ministry (church planting, children at risk, drug rehabilitation, medical, education, radio, mobile, media, theological training, and mobilization for missions).
