The Venture community actively engages communities in Biblical Justice. Our Work: Venture Expeditions uses adventure to raise funds and awareness for missions and humanitarian initiatives around the world while providing an intentional life and faith development program for participants. Our Model: Physical Sacrifice - Physical sacrifice moves beyond clicking a “like” button to full engagement of time, energy and relationships. In Community - Sacrificing together builds community like few other activities, and forms bonds that challenge beyond an event. With Christ - When prayer, scripture and worship combine with all of these other elements, space for lasting transformation is created. For Biblical Justice - Biblical justice is defined, led and constrained by scripture, and calls us to change the way we invest our time, money and influence. The Mission (Benefit the World, Discover your Soul): The Venture community empowers people to benefit the world and discover their soul through adventure-driven humanitarian efforts. Benefit the World - Venture Expeditions endeavors to spend its greatest energies on the world’s greatest crises. Its priority is to recognize and meet the humanitarian, social and spiritual needs of suffering people by providing service & monetary assistance, sending missionaries, and partnering with faith-based organizations to build local, sustainable development programs that help orphans and the diseased, along with victims of injustice and disaster. Discover the Soul - The adventurous, extreme and communal nature of a Venture Expeditions trip facilitates intense faith-forming and life-shaping experiences. Participants are challenged to identify with Christ’s sacrifice, compassion, courage and character. Venture Breakdown: Venture Projects - church planting, emergency feeding programs, and aftercare homes for individuals and communities suffering from various forms of injustice and oppresion. Venture Expeditions - endurance challenges (biking across countries, running across states etc.) that both disciple participants and raise funds for mission projects around the world Venture Local - programs that empower individuals, churches and campus groups to put on missions fundraising/discipleship events in their communities.
