Justice Ventures International is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to secure freedom, justice and restoration for the poor and oppressed by strengthening “justice ventures,” organizations that work to protect human rights and to promote development. JVI seeks to strengthen and support these justice ventures by mobilizing and delivering professional services, financial resources and research. The primary areas of focus are in forced labor and human trafficking, policy advocacy and legal aid for the poor, and freedom businesses (social entrepreneurships that enable freedom from oppression and injustice through employment).
Describe the types of ministry opportunities your agency will offer to Urbana 12 participants: 
* Potential internships: we are seeking specifically skilled self-starters who are ready to deliver work with minimal supervision and be on the ground in a developing nation. Fields of interest include IT (content management, database admin, web authoring), communications (professional-level updates, design and messaging), and legal (international or human rights experience preferred). * JVI partnerships in the U.S.: there are specific opportunities to partner with JVI "freedom business" ventures, such as Freeset Global and Sari Bari. We are seeking business-minded part/full-time unpaid volunteers to become distribution points of contact. Qualifications will vary. * U.S. JVI Legal Volunteers: we are in the midst of organizing partnerships that connect legal volunteers to casework and policy initiatives in India. We are seeking groups that can commit approximately 50-100 hours of pro bono legal service related to research and drafting. Must have some level of legal training; pre-law students may be considered but the main focus is law students and lawyers.
