Vision:Our vision statement is "Jesus to every Japanese, Jesus every day." "Jesus to every Japanese" means that we seek to reach as many Japanese as possible with the Gospel through missions to Japan and South America, as well as reaching out to Japanese students/business families here in the US. "Jesus every day" refers to our domestic ministries which includes AACF, summer camps, music and sports ministries to encourage believers to live each day for Jesus.
Describe the types of ministry opportunities your agency will offer to Urbana 12 participants:Short-Term Mission trips to Japan and South America. Summer of 2013, STM teams will serve in Tohoku (Northern Japan), doing emotional care for survivors in temporary housing, helping with children programs (Sports, VBS), conducting English classes. Other STM teams assigned to South America will help in local churches through Sports Camps, English classes, and summer camps. Long-term missions: We have an open recruitment for individuals interested in Long-Term Missions to Japan and South America. Long-term duties may include teaching English, pastoring a church or even church planting. We work closely with churches in Japan. AACF (Asian American Christian Fellowship): Opportunity to serve on campus with AACF as a member or staff (this is a college campus para-church organization in California (12) and 1 at UW).
