Vision:Our vision is to see hard-working men and women lifting themselves, their families and their communities out of poverty. We work with a network of locally-led, indigenous faith-based organizations around the world to provide life transforming microloans and development programs that equip hard working individuals and families to lift themselves and their communities out of poverty. Our mission is to grow the impact of our indigenous partners by supporting their microenterprise and complementary programs. We nourish their microenterprise efforts. We bring diverse resources to help them help their clients prosper. We help in unique and focused ways, depending on our partners’ organizational needs, providing funding, training and strategic support. We bring together the best global resources to optimize our partners’ impact on their local communities.
Describe the types of ministry opportunities your agency will offer to Urbana 12 participants:Opportunities may include volunteering and serving locally here in the US or with one of our nine partner organizations around the world. The specific opportunities will be dependent on the participant’s skillsets, and endPoverty and our partner’s organizational needs. We also want to encourage participants to take their talents and creativity and think outside the box. There is no set definition of what that might look like, but we hope participants will ask themselves and think how they can be the hands and feet of Jesus and help our poor around the world.
