Vision:
Christians for Biblical Equality believes that all believers are called to mutual submission, love, and service, and envisions a future where all believers are freed to exercise their gifts for God’s glory and purposes, with the full support of their Christian communities. CBE recognizes that injustice is an abuse of power, taking from others what God has given them: their dignity, their freedom, their resources, and even their very lives. As communities begin to embrace God’s purpose for women and men to serve together with shared worth and shared responsibility, their treatment of women will change and all forms of gender-related abuse will decrease.
Describe the types of ministry opportunities your agency will offer to Urbana 12 participants:
CBE interns are involved in every aspect of our ministry by writing or editing journal articles, editing our weekly e-newsletter, writing curriculum, organizing events, sending mailings, entering contacts into our database, and so much more. Students are also encouraged to submit papers as articles for our publications and for our student paper competitions, which are held at each conference we hold in the US. Students have also started local CBE chapters on their campuses.
