Christian Reformed World Missions: We see the CRCNA vigorously participating in Spirit-led mission with churches and other Christian organizations throughout the world, so that together we are proclaiming the gospel to more and more people who have not heard it, healthy churches are emerging and the Kingdom of God is advancing. Calvin Theological Seminary: Calvin Theological Seminary aims to cultivate church leaders who translate Reformed Christianity to everyday life in diverse cultural contexts.
Describe the types of ministry opportunities your agency will offer to Urbana 12 participants:
Christian Reformed World Missions: Short and long term mission opportunities in the areas of leadership training and development, evangelism and church planting, regional networking centers, education, service and learning, and much more. We are also working to provide more intentional opportunities for young adults. Calvin Theological Seminary: Calvin Seminary offers a variety of internship experiences that better prepare students for the ministry they are pursuing. Service learning and internship opportunities are central to the programs at Calvin Seminary and incorporated in degree requirements. In addition, our denomination, the Christian Reformed Church of North America, has many opportunities to get involved through various denominational agencies, such as Christian Reformed World Missions. Student internships last either 200 or 400 hours. Calvin Seminary partners with a variety of agencies to allow internship experiences that match students’ vocational aims. Additional internship requirements pertain to adequate supervision and mentoring relationships, which are vital to formational internship experiences.
