Daryl McCarthy

Dr. Daryl McCarthy has served as CEO and President for the International Institute for Christian Studies (IICS) since 1988 when he helped found the organization. He and his wife, Dr. Teri McCarthy, live in Vilnius, Lithuania where she teaches at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences. Teri is the author of Teaching in a Distant Classroom, (2009, InterVarsity Press). They have a son and a daughter, who are both married and they enjoy their four grandchildren. He has traveled to 50 nations around the world and has spoken and lectured at universities, seminaries, conferences and churches in North America and in various countries. His special interests are teaching and living with a Christian worldview, the role of Irish monks in evangelizing Europe, evangelism as a holistic response to the needs of the total person and the holiness of all vocations and fields of study.  He earned a D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary, M.Div. from Nazarene Theological Seminary, MA in Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Bachelor of Theology from Kansas City College and Bible School. IICS places Christian academicians, businesspersons and professionals in teaching positions at public universities overseas. More than fifty IICS professors are currently teaching in 25 nations. His passion is to see every university student in the world have at least one professor who can articulate the beauty, love and lordship of Christ.
