Trends of imperialism, conquest, and the development of racist ideologies undoubtedly influenced the history of missions with repercussions that continue on even today. Since 1998, Joshua Settles has served students through InterVarsity. He was campus staff for Collegiate Black Christian Fellowship, a group he founded as a student, and planted a new ministry among Asian American students. He was Area Director for InterVarsity’s ministry in Tennessee and has led both urban and international mission teams. He has a Master’s in History and a PhD in Theology from Akrofi-Christaller Institute in Ghana.
