It’s important to take an honest look at the history of Christian missions and reflect critically and prayerfully. Learning a bit of our history can help us reimagine ways to live out the gospel with creativity and faithfulness while challenging cultural assumptions that hinder us.

Alejandra Ortiz loves working with students and staff, leading them into loving the Scriptures and understanding them in relation to the whole of life. Some of the most important events in her life have happened in border cities. She was born in San Diego, California, grew up and got married in Tijuana, México, and her daughter was born in Vancouver, Canada while she finished her MA in Theology and Church History.
