Urbana 18 Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Urbana 18!  We rely on the generosity of volunteers like you to perform crucial tasks to help make the conference run smoothly.

Full-Time Volunteers (formerly called Stewards) serve during the entire conference (December 26th arrival through end of day December 31st) and may be assigned to more than one job over the conference. Full-Time Volunteers are asked to work an average of 8 hours per day at the conference, and when they are not working their Urbana job(s), they are free to experience Urbana programming. Urbana jobs for Full-Time Volunteers will be assigned closer to the conference based on conference need and volunteer experience and expertise. In an effort to keep Urbana as financially accessible as possible, we ask Full-Time Volunteers to pay $100 as their conference registration and cover their own travel, hotel and lunches. A pick-up breakfast will be provided at hotels that are in the Urbana Housing Block and dinner is provided each night before the evening session.

Part-Time Volunteers (formerly called Daily Servants) are local, St. Louis based volunteers who serve one or two days at Urbana. As a Part-Time Volunteer you will receive a complimentary, one day pass to participate in Urbana programming after you complete your day of serving. Part-time Volunteers will have the opportunity to select specific shifts of Urbana jobs that work within their availability.

In order to volunteer for Urbana you must be legally able to volunteer in the US without a letter of invitation.
