I am trying to find a career for myself that involves spreading the gosple to children and interacting with them to show them Christ cares and loves them. Please help me if you can.Love,CarriePlease write me on e-mail if at all possible.Thank you!

Carrie, I thank the Lord for your gift and your decision to use it for the Lord. Almost all mission agencies have some kind of need for people to work with children, whether it be through Sunday Schools, orphanages, or relief and development ministry. So, a good place to start would be to be sensitive to mission agencies your church is already supporting. Also, be on the look-out for references to children’s work in mission magazines.

In addition, however, there are agencies that specialize in ministry to children. I’ll send you some websites you may want to review. I don’t know them personally, but they are listed in a reputable directory.

- Every Child Ministries (www.kidsyes,org). Ministry among “forgotten children of Africa.”

- Childcare International (www.childcare-intl.org). This is a large program, working in many countries.

- Child Evangelism Fellowship (www.cefonline.com). This is the “grand-daddy” of children’s ministries, well known in the U.S. They have 69 people full time serving overseas.

- Kids Around the World (www.kidsaroundthyeworld.com). “Reaching children around the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ and helping those who work with children.”

This should give you a beginning.

May the Lord guide you. He called you; He knows where He wants you to serve.
