Tokunboh Adeyemo was born into a wealthy family in Nigeria. The eldest son of eight children, his family placed great expectations on him. After a miraculous conversion to Christianity in 1966, he abandoned his partisan political ambition to train for Christian ministry.

Following his undergraduate studies in Nigeria, Dr. Adeyemo came to the U.S. to earn a Masters at Talbot Theological Seminary and Doctorate at Dallas Theological Seminary. He has written several books, including Salvation in African Tradition (1978) andd The Making of a Servant of God (1994).

He currently serves as the Genral Secretary of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa and the Chairman of the International Council of the World Evangelical Fellowship. While his roots are deep in Africa, his heart is for the world.

Tokunboh lives in Nairobi, Kenya, with his wife Ireti and two sons.
