Terrence Nichols began preaching at the early age of 15 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Pelham, Georgia. Although he received criticism from some who declared he was too young to preach, he had a burning passion to communicate hope to people, and the results of his obedience touched the lives of many. His early ministry was particularly influential in the lives of youth throughout Georgia, Alabama and Florida.
Rev. Nichols has enjoyed a rich broadcasting career in Christian radio on San Francisco stations KEAR as well as KEST, where he and his wife, Madeline, co-hosted a program for four years. He has pastored two San Francisco churches, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and Bread of Life Christian Center. He is currently the pastor of New Hope Community Church in Vallejo, California, which is affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Rev. Nichols is in demand as a speaker for churches, camps and conferences throughout the country and he has been privileged to minister in Jerusalem, Haiti, South Africa and Canada. He earned a B.A. in Communications from Simpson Bible College. In April 2006, he received his Masters of Ministry from Simpson University. In addition, in 1990 he received an honorary Doctorate of Theology from Faith-Grant College in Birmingham, Alabama. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Alliance Redwoods Camp in Cape Town, South Africa. He has served as the President of the Association of African American Churches of the Christian and Missionary Alliance since 2000. He and his wife, Madeline, have two daughters, Jessica and Chelsea.
