Sada appreciates the Urbana Team’s emphasis on relationships and its sense of community. She also is inspired by Urbana’s challenge to be more aware of global needs and leading lives on mission. During college, Sada participated in her InterVarsity chapter at the University of Arizona and went to Urbana 12. She served at Campus by the Sea before joining Urbana, and she currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

Comfort Foods:

“Tamales and jamaica! Anything I can add lemon juice and jalapeños to!”          

Favorite Music Genre:

“Totally depends on what mood I’m in! Latin (Cumbia, Pop Latino, Reggaeton), Worship, EDM, Hip hop, Jesus Rap, Spoken word. Anything with rhythm and/or a story, usually.”           

Favorite Verse:

“The story of Ehud, sent as a deliverer to the Israelites, in Judges 3. Such a gory and raw story. So awesome!”

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

“Travel to Mexico and Switzerland. Touching back to the roots of my family and reaching into my own dreams.”

Donut or scone? Coffee or tea?

“Pan dulce with some café!”

What’s on your bucket list?

“Living in new places, experiencing different cultures/ways of life, and getting really good at rollerblading. I just want to enjoy life!”         

When I think of college, I think of . . .

“a really expensive piece of paper called a diploma. Ha, just kidding. College makes me think of adventure and new worlds of thinking, freedom to explore little facets of the world and the people in it, and access to many resources and knowledge at one's fingertips. Possibilities!”    

Besides the Bible, what books/authors have influenced you the most?

Halo: The Fall of Reach, C.S. Lewis’ Space Trilogy and Narnia series, So B. It by Sarah Weeks, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, IVP’s A Book of Prayers, The Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer
