At Urbana 18, René Breuel will exposit passages of Scripture from Revelation, a book that portrays the majesty of Jesus like no other.
He came as a student to Urbana 06, dreaming of making a difference for God. In the 12 years since that conference, René has led a team to plant a church, Hopera, in Rome, Italy. As its pastor, he is delighted to see God continue to work in powerful ways.
Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, René was a student leader in International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) movements in Brazil, Germany, Canada, and Italy. He has a Master of Studies in Creative Writing from Oxford University, a Master of Divinity from Regent College in Vancouver, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). He is the author of The Paradox of Happiness.
