Ray Bakke is a gifted teacher, author and leader in the area of urban ministry. As Founder of International Urban Associates, he animated a network of more than 100 urban churches and missions leaders in many of the world’s largest cities. He holds a Diploma from Moody Bible Institute, a B.A. from Seattle Pacific College, a M.Div. from Trinity International University, and a D.Min. from McCormick Theological Seminary.

He served as Regent’s Chair and Acting Academic Dean at Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, WA until his retirement in 2011. Through resourcing, networking and mentoring, Dr. Bakke’s ministry touches countless people involved in ministry all over the world. Among other books, he is the author of A Theology as Big as the City, and The Urban Christian: Effective Ministry in Today’s Urban World, both published by InterVarsity Press.
