Dr. John Plake is a researcher with a pastor’s heart. He bridges the worlds of social science, business intelligence, and spiritual formation, helping Christian leaders understand how people grow in Christ. John leads American Bible Society’s Ministry Intelligence team, helping the organization reintroduce the Bible to America. He is also the lead researcher for the University Spiritual Life Survey, which measures the impact of Christian higher education on the spiritual vitality of emerging adults. Over 29 years of full-time ministry, John has served as a pastor, missionary, professor, and researcher. John is an ordained minister with a PhD in intercultural studies (missiology).
