Erik Aasland

Professor

Erik Aasland served with his wife and four kids in Central Asia for nearly 15 years. In the course of teaching, he realized that local folktales gave him insights into his students’ learning styles. As he would say, he became a storyteller out of desperation, wanting to connect with those with and to whom he ministered. Bible storying became a vital part of their ministry. He has done orality training on three continents and researches what makes storying effective.
