Emilie enjoys the Urbana Team’s sense of community and the opportunity to learn from talented people with a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. Born to missionaries, Emilie spent her first 19 years overseas, going to school and living around many people from international backgrounds. Her parents viewed missional living as a family effort and often discussed what distinguishes Christianity from other religions. Emilie currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

“Resting for a week in the mountains of Ireland and on the islands of Scotland.”

“studying and late evenings laughing with dear friends.”

Besides the Bible, what books/authors have influenced you the most?

Perks of Being a Wallflower and the Mark of the Lion series have been repeated reads for me. But I would say C.S. Lewis, Shauna Niequist, and Bob Goff have influenced me the most in my walk with the Lord.”
