Elizabeth has been on staff with InterVarsity for 18 years and has been teaching Urbana Bible studies since 2006. She appreciates watching God transform lives and working in a community focused on God’s kingdom purposes for his global family. Her position has allowed her to work closely with many IFES colleagues and travel around the world, teaching the Bible and training Bible study leaders in places like Nigeria, Ukraine, Ireland, Mauritius, and Turkey. She has enjoyed living in diverse communities including Southern California for 20 years before moving to St. Louis, Missouri.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

“Anywhere with friends. Turkey? New Zealand? Italy?”

When I think of college, I think of . . .

“dorms, friends, and classes. Learning to serve, learning to lead, taking risks of faith, and watching Jesus show up. Gospel transformation in myself, friends, and community. Spending summers among an unreached tribe in Papua New Guinea and living in community and serving in urban neighborhoods. Letting God shape me and falling more deeply in love with Jesus.”

C. S. Lewis, Henri Nouwen, John Stott, Ravi Zacharias, Richard Foster on prayer and disciplines, Desiring God by John Piper, The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence
