Albert M. (Al) Erisman is the Executive in Residence in the School of Business and Economics at Seattle Pacific University. He teaches business ethics and business and technology both at the undergraduate and the graduate level. He is also executive editor of Ethix magazine (www.ethix.org), which he co-founded with a colleague in 1998.  In this capacity he has interviewed business leaders from around the world on issues of ethics, values, and purpose. He is also co-teaching a doctor of ministry cohort for Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary on the theology of work.

He is a board member for several not-for-profit organizations including Kiros, a Seattle-based faith and work organization, and Theology of Work, an international organization building a commentary on the Scriptures related to teaching on daily work.  His speaking has taken him to many parts of the world in the past decade including India, Nepal, Ireland, Ukraine, Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Central African Republic, Austria, and China. He is engaged in economic development in the Central African Republic. In April 2001 Al completed a 32 year career at The Boeing Company where, for the last 10 years he was Director of R&D for technology and mathematics.

He is the author of numerous papers and books, including a forthcoming book on the life of Joseph as a business person: The Accidental Executive, Lessons in Business, Faith and Calling from the Life of Joseph.
