Ajith Fernando served the National Director of Youth for Christ in Sri Lanka for 35 years. He is regularly involved in teaching ministry with staff and volunteers, pastoral care of leaders, supervising Youth Guidance and YFC’s drug rehabilitation ministry. He is also a visiting lecturer in Biblical Studies at Colombo Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and several other theological seminaries in Asia-Pacific and North America.
In addition to lecturing and speaking at conferences in Sri Lanka, Dr. Fernando has authored 15 books, found in 19 languages, including: The Supremacy of Christ; NIV Application Commentary on Acts; Sharing the Truth in Love; and Jesus Driven Ministry. Dr. Fernando has spoken several times at previous Urbana conventions, and served Urbana 06 as the Bible expositor for the book of Ephesians in the plenary sessions.
